The Winter School is a two-week international postgraduate programme on federalism, regionalism and multi-level governance. Young practitioners and researchers in the field of federalism from all over the world work for two weeks on contemporary issues of governance. This cross-border project is organised and hosted by the renowned Institute for Comparative Federalism of EURAC Research and the Faculty of Law & the Faculty of Social and Political Sciences of the University of Innsbruck.
The next Winter School will focus on “Federalism and Local Self-Government” and will take place from 1 – 12 February 2021, for one week in Innsbruck (Austria) and one week in Bolzano/Bozen (Italy).
The two weeks of the Winter School are divided into lectures and discussion sessions, interactive workshops and study visits in Innsbruck and Bolzano/Bozen.

HSF is working on the topic of federalism globally and nationally. The foundation is sponsoring up to three applicants from India, Nepal and Sri Lanka to participate in the next Winter School! The sponsorship includes the programme registration fees, flight tickets, visa application fees, accommodation and transport in Austria and Italy!
