Outlook on Climate Governance and Water Policy in India with a focus on Participatory Approaches

Centre for Environment Education with support from Hanns Seidel Foundation India, developed a study paper to provide recommendations for water policy in the context of climate change. The paper draws opinions from secondary literature, in-depth policy analysis & organization's experiences over the years. The climate change impacts have resulted in serious consequences on availability of water in India & the increasing demand is expected to pose further challenges. The policies & institutions need to be coherent to address climate change. The paper aims at generating discussions to strengthen coherence between existing policies & potential actions, through promoting stakeholder engagement.
