Water Security in India: Review and recommendations for policy and practice

In 2022, Centre for Environment Education (CEE) with the support of Hanns Seidel Foundation developed a review paper that synthesizes the intervention results of the HSS-CEE's three-year project (2017-2019) in the Indian state of Gujarat. The paper seeks to extrapolate policy recommendations for the federal level interventions from the systematic review of the state level experiences in improving water situation. The paper focuses on institutional reform at the national level for integrated and conjunctive planning and management of surface water and groundwater.
